Sure, but the Garrett argument applies here, right? If you move on, you have to select a replacement, and who is available that will get you more wins than Dak? Keep in mind, the last time they were faced with this decision, the brain trust wanted Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook who have a combined *1* NFL win in their combined 7 seasons of play.
The argument does not apply. If you don’t get an adequate QB replacement, you tank, and then select one in the top 5 of a draft. The player doesn’t have a choice but to work for you.

Coaches can spurn you again and again if they don’t like the direction your franchise or front office is heading.

John Elway and Eli Manning disagree.

Also, drafting a Top 5 pick QB recently hasn't netted much, if anyone, definitively better than Dak Prescott. If anything, it's more probable we end up with a QB worse than Dak Prescott.
2017 - Mitch Trubisky (2)
2016 - Jared Goff (1), Carson Wentz (2)
2015 - Jameis Winston (1), Marcus Mariota (2)
2014 - Blake Bortles (3)
2012 - Andrew Luck (1), RG III (2)
2011 - Cam Newton (1)
2010 - Sam Bradford (1)
2009 - Matt Stafford (1), Mark Sanchez (5)

I'm guessing it's more the other way around and Jerruh will spurn coaches that Dak Prescott doesn't like.

This’ll pressure Dak Prescott into begging for $15M/year. Brilliant.

The Cowboys would be stupid not to show up. If any team doesn’t show up, they’ll immediately be branded with the racist/collusion tag.

I wouldn't be be at all surprised if kaepernick secretly hopes few teams show. If/when he isn’t signed, this will just be more ammo for his woke crusade. The teams that didn’t show are against him, the ones that did were only there in a token appearance.

CNNSI's latest mock:
[h=2]21. Dallas Cowboys: Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina[/h]
Disruptive as an interior pass-rusher, Kinlaw has 5.5 sacks this season and displays plenty of power and quickness for his size (6' 6", 310). If Kinlaw isn’t off the board in the first 20 picks, he’d be a great addition to the Cowboys defensive line.

Having wasted the number 58 overall selection in the 2019 draft on the underachieving Tristan Hill.......

Gotta make a real move to legitimately anchor the DT spot. Yes, it's a pass oriented league. But I'm fed up watching teams run the ball straight down our freakin' throat.
