What about the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters? Don't they count, too?

I think Romo problems are on the road with the playoffs on the line and especially in cold weather.

The team leans way too heavily on him in those situations when you need strong defense and solid running.

Romo is not the problem of the team. He has made a few bad decisions but his play and skills are more than enough to be a winner on most any team in the league.

Funny thing about Romo, there's no denying his skill, but he just (as far as I know) always falls short, no titles. I know this is a team sport, but still... There's something that just feels like it's never going to happen for him.

Personally I think he would be a big winner on a lot of teams. Unfortunately Dallas has had major shortcomings for too long and Tom Brady would struggle here.

Honestly, I am just tired of hearing about Tony Romo.

Positive (apologists) or negative (haters).

The closest he came was at home in 2007-2008, but the defense failed on two huge plays in the first half. In the second half, Romo had the Cowboys pulling away and then Crayton and the OL melted down dropping balls and getting called for 15 yard penalties. Lastly the punter flubbed and the return team allowed the Giants onto the Cowboys side of the field to eventually score.

Romo tried to mount a comeback but the running game vanished and the Giants went into pass rush mode, pushing past Gurode who had been injured. Owens was at 80% and couldn't pull away from defenders. It was a perfect storm for the Giants, really and nothing Romo could seemingly do about it.

Even still he got the ball back and threw a perfect pass to Crayton who just stopped his pattern and let the ball sail over his head. The first half Romo's defense totally failed him and in the second half the offense and special teams joined in.

I'm not talking about with the pokes, I mean in general, college, high school, pee-wee...
Sure he won the Ohio Valley Conference, but FCS championship result... Out in the first round...

People need to collectively accept that Romo is who he is: a great stats compiler who doesn't win big games. He a more successful version of Marc Bulger and a less successful version of Dan Marino.

That Dan Marino comparison is actually pretty good. Not so much as in their individual talents, but in how they were expected to do it all. Shit defense and no running game. No worries, Dan/Tony will win it for us.

Actually, the Dan Marino comparison is not all that good.

He was a true HOF caliber QB. Romo is not to this point and probably never will be.

That's why he said a less successful version of Marino.

I don't even care if he is a "less successful version" whatever that means. He's not in Marino's league in any way, shape or form. To even have the names in the same discussion is laughable.

Hell, I have times where I have a hard time ranking him above Danny White for chrissakes.

Actually, yeah. It is. Neither of us were comparing their skills, but how they were looked at by their organizations.
