Here's a look at the snap counts for each of the
Dallas Cowboys' offensive players in Sunday's42-7 win against the Indianapolis Colts:

Travis Frederick 63
Ronald Leary 63
Tyron Smith 63
Jermey Parnell 63
Tony Romo 57
Zack Martin 57
Jason Witten 55
Dez Bryant 48
Terrance Williams 42
DeMarco Murray 31
James Hanna 30
Joseph Randle 22
Gavin Escobar 18
Cole Beasley 17
Tyler Clutts 15
Dwayne Harris 15
Lance Dunbar 8
Devin Street 11
Mackenzy Bernadeau 6
Brandon Weeden 6
Tony Hills 3

  • Murray inspired his teammates and the coaching staff with his non-wavering commitment to play just six days after having a metal plate and eight screws inserted in the ring finger on his left hand after breaking it. He played a season-low 31 snaps, but still carried the ball 22 times for 58 yards.
  • Randle took much of Murray's playing time with a season-high 22 snaps. He finished with 13 carries for 37 yards and a long of 12. He did a nice job on blitz pickups, which is one of the reasons Romo was sacked just once.
  • Martin, who didn't practice this week because of a sprained ankle, received a mild break because of the blowout win. Martin earned praise from coach Jason Garrett and played 57 snaps, while his replacement, Bernadeau, played the last six snaps.
  • The Cowboys led 28-0 after 33 snaps, which meant it was time to pound away with the running game. That's why Hanna played a season-high 30 snaps and helped the Cowboys finish with 127 yards on 40 carries.
  • Dunbar, figured to get more playing time with Murray limited, played just eight snaps. He caught two passes for 10 yards and carried the ball twice for four yards.

Defensive snaps from the Cowboys' 42-7 win over Indianapolis

Here's a look at the snap counts for each of the Dallas Cowboys' defensive players in Sunday's42-7 win against the Indianapolis Colts:

Sterling Moore 55
Orlando Scandrick 48
Brandon Carr 46
J.J. Wilcox 42
Barry Church 40
Jeremy Mincey 34
Tyrone Crawford 34
Anthony Spencer 33
Henry Melton 33
DeMarcus Lawrence 32
Anthony Hitchens 30
Rolando McClain 29
Nick Hayden 29
Terrell McClain 28
Tyler Patmon 25
C.J. Spillman 22
Kyle Wilber 21
George Selvie 21
Bruce Carter 20
Jeff Heath 20
Cam Lawrence 20
Keith Smith 20

  • Hitchens, a fourth-round pick, keeps playing better every week. He led all linebackers with 30 snaps, and finished with a team-high seven tackles, two pass deflections and an interception.
  • The Cowboys used the big win to get linebacker Rolando McClain some much-needed rest for his knee and groin. He played just 29 snaps and still managed four tackles, including two for losses.
  • The Cowboys' 28-0 halftime lead made Indianapolis one-dimensional, setting up Melton to have a big day since he's a pass-rushing specialist. He played 33 snaps, the most since Week 3 against St. Louis, and recorded a quarterback pressure and two tackles.
  • Backups such as Smith, Lawrence, Heath and Patmon each had their most extensive playing time of the season as the Cowboys used their big lead to work a lot of role players into the lineup.

Martin had a great game. I was surprised to see how much pop he had despite a bad ankle.
