Yeah, he was much better 10 years ago. He's just not in it anymore, and his shows reflect that.

Yep, between him and Leno, that era has passed. Or will pass once Letterman does retire.

Maybe they can hire Conan and then fire him 6 months later and bring in Leno

About as good a choice as they can make.
I agree. No way do I think Conan should have gotten it. He just isn't very good, IMO.

Is he going to be in character like on Comedy Central?

Don't know if he can pull that off on CBS.

And if he isn't in character, who knows what kind of host he'll make.
