Jimmy Johnson says Jerry Jones has told him that he will be installed in the Cowboys' "Ring of Honor." The question, however, remains when.

"Actually, Jerry told me three years ago that he was going to put me in the Ring of Honor,” Johnson said.

Johnson, whose Cowboys coaching reign grows brighter with each ensuing season, tells that to host Dave Barnett on Tuesday's installment of Fox Sports Southwest's "Icons of Coaching."

Naturally, Johnson is playing it cool.

“Hey, I think it's great for players and it's really a great honor for those players, but for coaches, really, we've done our work," he told Barnett. "You can see the records, and so that accomplishment is satisfying enough for me. I'm not real big on accolades because football is such a team sport. No one individual does it, no one coach, or no one assistant coach, or no one player.”

And who is Johnson’s “icon of coaching?”

If you said, Kansas State’s Bill Snyder, you were correct.

Damn. Now Jimmy is getting senile.

He believes what comes out of that vile liar's mouth.

The ROH is one way of holding power over another individual and Jerry Jones will use that power to call in a favor or just watch Jimmy stew.

Landry has a hat to represent his number. Does this mean Jimmy gets a comb?
