I don't mind some advanced stats. I think OPS and OPS+ tell you quite a lot about a hitter, because it incorporates how often a hitter gets on base and how much a hitter hits for power. By far the two most important things.
Batting average used to be the gold standard for a hitter but it's completely inadequate. I'm glad people have gravitated away from that.
But all this vorp war stuff is mostly bullshit to me.
