All those great TV rating aren't just fans of the team watching. It's opposing fans watching, too. Hoping they can see them lose. And the networks know this.
Last summer, my wife mentioned she wanted to start watching Dexter. I waited a couple weeks, when I knew my brother was coming to town, then bought her the box set. I had an all access, no bitching pass to the golf course all weekend.
You can't share Netflix accounts any more. They track IP addresses, and if it's not the account holder's IP, it's blocked.
